Despite the large sandy beach of Cala Saona, during certain times of the summer, it can be crowded with visitors, giving a sense of being “completely full.”<\/p>\n
The existing dune in the area, extending up to about 25 meters from the shore, significantly reduces the available space to place your towel and beach mat. Even if you arrive early and initially have more separation from other visitors on Cala Saona beach, it’s highly likely that you’ll end up surrounded by more people who want to be as close as possible to the shoreline.<\/p>\n
If you prefer greater comfort, you will find three concession areas on Cala Saona beach where you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas. Getting to Cala Saona is very easy and convenient, as you will be driving on asphalt for almost the entire journey, without the need to take dirt or dusty roads that are characteristic of Formentera.<\/p>\n
If you’re starting from the port of La Savina, you should head towards the town of Sant Francesc.<\/p>\n
Once you reach Sant Francesc, at the first roundabout, continue straight ahead.
