Keep in mind…
On the side of one of the fishermen’s huts at Es Valencians beach in Migjorn, you will find a large mural dedicated to Schoppi. He was a German artist who resided in Formentera for over 30 years and passed away in 2007 at his home in Sant Francesc.
Throughout the island, you can still find his sculptures of animals, which are crafted with a unique and unmistakable style.

How to get to Es Valencians
From La Savina, drive along the main road (PM-820) towards La Mola. Pass by the villages of Sant Francesc and Sant Ferran.
Approximately at kilometer 10.5, on the right side of the road, you will see a blue-painted stone with that number. Take that path, which is about 1 kilometer long, and stay on it without deviating until you reach the sea.
The path is a dirt road, wide, and in good condition, but it has two steep changes before reaching the sea, which makes it difficult to see oncoming vehicles. Therefore, drive with extra caution on this road to avoid any traffic accidents.
As we always emphasize on this website, drive at a moderate speed on the paths of Formentera. This way, you will raise less dust, cause less inconvenience to those driving motorcycles, bicycles, or walking, and, of course, the local residents who use this or any other road to reach their homes will appreciate it.
Don’t forget, please drive slowly and carefully on the paths of Formentera.
Parking
The designated parking area for cars, motorcycles, and bicycles for those planning to visit Es Valencians can be found at the end of the road, just a few meters from the shoreline.
The parking area is delimited by wooden posts, clearly indicating where to park.
The ground in this area is uneven and has large rocks, which may cause the underside of a car to hit the rocks. Therefore, drive slowly and be mindful of the rocks to avoid any damage to your vehicle.
Once the parking area is full, people also tend to park on the sides of the access road.
Our recommendation is to always park your car with the front facing the exit of the road. This will make it much easier for you to maneuver when leaving the beach in this part of Migjorn.
From there, on foot, take the path to the right that runs parallel to the sea, and after approximately 250 meters, you will find Es Valencians beach on the coast of Formentera.
Nudism at Es Valencians
Nudism has been a common practice in Formentera since the 1970s, and it has become fully normalized among the island’s residents and the majority of tourists who visit Formentera year after year.
It’s important to keep this in mind if, for any reason, you feel uncomfortable sharing the beach with people who are not wearing swimwear. As Es Valencians is a small beach, the proximity to others lying on the sand is more noticeable compared to other areas of Formentera, and you may feel uncomfortable because of it. However, we encourage you to embrace the experience and enjoy the opportunity to swim and sunbathe naked at Es Valencians beach in Migjorn, Formentera.

Services
Es Valencians is a small beach without any kind of services. The closest restaurant can be found at the stretch of beach known as Vogamarí, which is about 450 meters away from Es Valencians.
You won’t find rental services for sunbeds or umbrellas at this beautiful and tiny beach in Migjorn, Formentera. So, if you plan to spend the day at Es Valencians, make sure to bring everything you need, as forgetting something would mean a long walk before finding what you may require.
There are no lifeguards present at Es Valencians either. In case of an emergency, you should call 112, provide your location, and the lifeguards at Es Arenals beach will be the first to arrive at the cove to provide assistance if needed. We hope you never have to face such a situation during your vacation in Formentera, and to avoid them as much as possible, it’s crucial to use common sense.
Fishermen´s huts at Es Valencians
On both sides of the sandy beach of Es Valencians, you will find traditional wooden structures known as fishermen’s huts. These huts provide shelter from the sun and rain for the fishing boats in the area.
These structures are part of the public domain, so you can enjoy the shade they provide. However, it is crucial to be respectful of the boats they protect, the wooden structures themselves, and to leave no trace of litter behind.
It is essential for visitors to understand that respect among residents has always been the basic rule of coexistence in Formentera. We hope and expect that those who visit will behave in the same manner. So, enjoy the shade of the fishermen’s huts, but when you leave, make sure not to leave any trace of your presence, especially in the form of litter.
