Llevant Beach is surrounded by nature, with no buildings in sight except for a single restaurant and a small kiosk. The lack of development gives the beach a secluded and tranquil atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for rent on the beach at a fixed price of €10 each. (Considering official prices from 2022) These sunbeds and umbrellas provide a comfortable spot to relax and soak up the sun, as well as protect yourself from the daytime heat. Whether you’re looking to lounge on the sand or take a dip in the refreshing water, Llevant Beach will meet your expectations.

For those looking to grab a bite to eat, you can head to either of the two restaurant/kiosks. They offer a wide selection of seafood, fresh fish, rice dishes prepared in various ways, and other local culinary delights.

Wooden walkways

To access the beach, visitors can follow the wooden walkways that wind through the dunes. These walkways are carefully maintained to ensure they don’t damage the dunes or the surrounding environment.

Vehicle access to the Natural Park

To enter the Ses Salines Natural Park and access Llevant Beach, Cavall den Borràs, or Illetes, a fee must be paid if arriving by car or motorcycle. The number of vehicles allowed in the park is limited, and once the parking spaces are full, no additional cars or motorcycles will be allowed entry. To ensure you can enter the park with your vehicle, it is advisable to arrive early. Quads are strictly prohibited in the Ses Salines Natural Park area. However, access on foot or by bicycle is always allowed and free of charge.

We should also note that Llevant Beach in Formentera can be accessed through two different entrances. The most well-known is the access shared with Illetes Beach, which also offers a larger parking space. However, there is a second vehicle access point that runs along Estany Pudent from Es Pujols and follows the indicated path.

This parking area is much smaller, accommodating a very limited number of vehicles.

Llevant: Fauna

Llevant Beach, like many other beaches in Formentera, is home to a variety of fascinating animals. Among these are cormorants, herons, seagulls, and lizards. These creatures can often be seen along the coast and in the surrounding areas, adding to the natural beauty of Llevant Beach.

Cormorants can be observed diving into the water to catch fish, while herons gracefully stand along the water’s edge. Seagulls can be heard squawking overhead.

And let’s not forget about our beloved lizards, Podarcis pytiusensis.
